“Project Runway’s” other star, Daniel Vosovic, debuted his first full women’s RTW collection during NY Fashion Week Feb. 11 at Exit Art.

It’s about time for the talented young designer who, curiously, placed second in one of the most interesting seasons (No. 2) that saw such colorful competitors as L.A.’s Santino Rice and Andre Gonzalez, and softspoken winner Chloe Dao.

Vosovic had recently come back to the show for the launch of its Lifetime debut, to take part in its two-hour special, “Project Runway: All Star Challenge,” landing the $100,000 prize that helped him to produce his show.

It will be interesting to watch how his cerebral, artistic approach to fashion evolves over time.

For Fall/Winter 20101, he found inspiration during a late night summer stroll through Washington Square Park. His collection reflects his observation of the effects of time and the elements on statues and sculptures, and explores the notion of creative destruction.

His original prints and embroideries derived from studying the aging process of oxidized copper, broken marble, and other materials in various stages of transformation. The inspiration was communicated throughout the presentation space by dim ambient lights and a Porter Panther nature film projected on the walls.
