A marshmallow Peeps bunny charm bracelet is among the Deco Sweet items offered by Bit of Sugar.

If you haven’t yet had your share of Easter treats, you might want to stop by the 14th Islandwide Crafts & Food Expo at the Blaisdell Center, April 29 through May 1, where Bit of Sugar’s Lei Matsuura and Brad Tada will be among the vendors.

The duo creates handmade Deco Sweet jewelry, accessories and gift items from a wide range of media such as blends of polymer, paper, flour, wood clays, resin and crystals.

Among their creations are marshmallow Peeps bunny charm bracelets ($28), a shave ice necklace ($16) and “Tweet Me” Sweethearts phone leash ($7).

Deco Sweet is popular in Japan, where all over Tokyo, girls and women adorn their cell phones, headbands, compacts, and other accessories with whipped cream, chocolate sauce, sprinkles, strawberries and cookie creations. If you’ve ever visited the Ala Moana Center boutique Q-pot, you know what I’m talking about.

Bit of Sugar has taken this uniquely Japanese concept and stirred in American and local flavors with such classic American snack foods such as milk and cookies, donuts and coffee, Japanese mochi, Chinese dim sum and shave ice, with items priced from $5 to $28.

Hours of the event will be 5 to 10 p.m. April 29, 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. on the 30th, and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. May 1. Admission to the expo is $4 general, and $2 for 65 and older and military with I.D. Children younger than 12 will be admitted free.

I definitely gotta get me one of those Peeps bracelets. So cute!
