Prada Corp. celebrated the grand opening of its Miu Miu store last night with a well-attended party of some of Honolulu’s most stylish, as well as a handful of celebs, including “Lost’s” Michael Emerson, dressed in crisp white linen, homegrown actress/singer Tia Carrere and “American Idol” season five finalist Katharine McPhee, who’s also working on her acting skills.

Of course dozens came dressed in Prada or Miu Miu, but the person drawing circles of interrogators all night was Ronald Cheung, dressed in a black Commes de Garcons kilt worn over Louis Vuitton neon leggings, with white shirt and very cool cinched buckled top that had an edgy bondage-meets-straitjacket vibe.

Tia Carrere and Katharine McPhee, both dressed in Miu Miu and in town filming “You May Not Kiss the Bride,” produced by Hawaii Film Partners and also starring Mena Suvari. It’s said to about an American pet photographer who gets caught up with Croatian gangsters while on honeymoon with one of the mobster’s daughters.

It was a great party and the floor was so packed that if you saw someone you knew, you had to grab them right away, before they got swallowed up by the crowd, never to be seen again.

I was there to take a few photos before moving on to Ala Moana Center’s LuWow! in the Nordstrom Wing.

On my way out the door, I ran into Ms. Nightlife, Christa Wittmeier, who said she had gathered up a posse of the cutest guys she could find, asking if I wanted to head to the back of the store to find them, which I guess is the equivalent of retreating to the back of a cave for guys. That’s when my b.f. wanted to leave, so out we went.

When we got to the site of the LuWow!, unfortunately, we discovered it was over. That was kind of weird because the party at Miu Miu was going strong, on the power of champagne and fashion.

Hawaii people being Hawaii people, I was told 500 people showed up at the LuWow! precisely at 6 p.m., ate all the food and went home.

We considered going back to the Miu Miu party, but decided to check out the Prada store where a few guests were trickling in after the party (some had gone there earlier, thinking the party was there). Did some errands, like buying toothpaste at Long’s, then decided to eat at Panya, where I had the following:

Salt-pepper shrimp.

Spicy won tons.

Singapore curry noodles. Sorry, I bit too fast and had to put the shrimp at left back for the photo.
