Icon Sport: To Hell and Back card

After almost one full year, Icon Sport finally returns to the Blaisdell Arena with the big local event of the month. Waianae’s Kala Kolohe Hose FINALLY gets his shot at becoming middleweight champion, although it won’t be against Robbie Lawler.

Lawler was stripped of the belt a month ago, setting the stage for Phil Baroni, a UFC and PRIDE veteran, to come in and challenge Hose for the belt on Saturday, March 15.

It’s hard to believe that Icon Sport hasn’t had a show since EPIC last March in which Lawler beat Frank Trigg in what was the best fight in Hawaii I have seen in my young career of covering these events. Lawler pulled out of fights with Hose on two separate occasions since then, citing medical reasons, which forced the company to strip him of the belt. I’ll have more on this as we get closer to the fight, but for now, here is the full fight card (which can always change) direct from Icon Sport promoter Patrick Freitas:
