Jeff Ulbrich to MMA?

My good friend Dave Reardon sent me this link a few days ago and after watching a couple of intense high school football games tonight, it made me think about which football players would make good MMA fighters.

The story is about former UH linebacker Jeff Ulbrich being a UFC fan from the start and thinking about training for a MMA fight down the road. Remembering how much of a beast Ulbrich was on the field, I can only imagine how intense he’d be inside a cage.

It’s something more and more football players have been talking about doing. I know current UH linebacker Blaze Soares has said he’s into it, and I’m sure a lot more are as well. I’ll take a couple of days to think about it, but what do you guys think? What football players, or athletes in any other sport for that matter, would make good MMA fighters?

Brian Urlacher is the first guy that comes to mind for me.
