President Barack Obama’s job approval rating in his birth state of Hawaii last year was 56 percent, according to Gallup, second only to the District of Columbia in support for the president.

But for political analysts in Hawaii looking at Obama’s potential influence on the U.S. Senate race, there is a more interesting statistic. Obama’s job approval dropped from 66 percent in 2010, a 9.8 percent decline, the largest in the nation.

Analysts project that former Gov. Linda Lingle’s chances against either U.S. Rep. Mazie Hirono or former congressman Ed Case in the Senate race diminish the better Obama performs in the islands. Anything higher than a 60 percent to 65 percent vote for the president would likely make it difficult for the Republican Lingle to compete.

Obama won Hawaii with 72 percent of the vote in 2008.

    Bye Bye Obama, Hawaii is finally awaking up and people are finding out that his British citizenship should also disqualify him anyway.
    APEC hurt him here big time too..
    Oh I almost forgot the most important reason,
    He is purposely making the USA a third world socialist country.

    lingle never supported President Obama and was one also who questioned his birth place. lingle does not need anyones help to fail, she has proven she can fail on her own. she depends too much on advisors and will definitely not bite union hands who feed her. she grew up knowing union leaders.

    The more Gingrich and Romney argue and trash talk each other the more facts about republican shinanigans are coming out in the open. “Offshore accounts”. Fannie and Mac attack to Gingrich.
    Romney as a Mormon whose father was a polygamist. Etc. Beans are being spilling and as one said Pandora’s Box has been opened.

    The actual day of “facts” will come when people vote. Other than this, it shows that is just “assumptions and approximations” made. Theories to be proven. Hawaii is Democratic but now we have a show of hands by Neocons, Rhinos and etc. and who knows what else.

    Vote for Romney and all will get fired. No 99% just 1 person. Trump. Even Romney will get fired. Vice President Trump and family.
