Please have faith in him. He’s a campus radical who knows what’s best for you. You don’t have to think for yourself or know what he’s doing. He’s so much smarter than you are. Just have faith.

The news about this which should be reported is: who bought tickets? How many people were there?

Neil’s vision for the future appears to be the creation of “one, Two, Many Hokuas!” The state’s “leadership” appears to have resigned themselves to Hawaii becoming a second or third home for wealthy people from around the world. They see the job of government as helping remove roadblocks to the development of “shovel-ready” housing projects for the rich and tax policies which protect investors from being taxed at the same rate as folks earning wages.
The Hokua is essentially a “vertical gated community,” run for the rich, most of whom live out of state. What a perfect metaphor for Hawaii’s future, a future the APEC gathering was also designed to expedite. Commoners, get out of the way!

It’s so much fun watching Neil get viciously attacked by the delusional “progressives” like Kolea who myopically crusaded for him while the old cronies snickered behind their backs and prepared to seize power and cash in. Surprise, you’re the first to go, suckers.

Joni Mitchell wrote a song about a Big Yellow Taxi, a pink Hotel and a big parking lot. Back in the 60’s Governor Abercrombie drove such a car. Governor Abercrombie does not want this song to come true and he wants to Keep Hawaii, Hawaii.
