The Republican Governors Association has pumped another $163,000 into helping Lt. Gov. James “Duke” Aiona in his GOP campaign for governor — for a total of more than $768,000 so far.
The new spending, which is not coordinated with the Aiona campaign, includes a glossy brochure mailed to voters with the “Rise & Shine Hawaii” theme.

“not coordinated with the Aiona campaign”.
Yeah, right, like corporations are not people.
Oh wait . . . .

I wonder what Duke will tell the Republican big wigs when they ask for pay back.

Again I ask regarding those “Rise and Shine” ads – how can they NOT be coordinated? Those videos of Aiona talking about this and that, what, did he just happen to be someplace where RGA cameras also happened to be?

Earl – Ever heard of “stock footage”?

@Mallory: These ads are not stock footage; they are staged, one-on-one shpiels. The only audience is the camera recording the footage for the ad and, I guess, the camera operator, audio engineers, and, oh yes, Karl Rove.

Mallory,
Yes, I have heard of “stock footage,” and it no way applies to something like the Aiona interviews. Where in the world would they get “stock footage” like that, obviously very recently filmed (shaved the moustache)? From the Aiona campaign, I’d say. Are you going to tell me anyone can go and buy that?
