National Democrats and U.S. Rep. Mazie Hirono used former Gov. Linda Lingle’s announcement last week that she would vote to repeal the federal health care reform law unless changes were made to link Lingle to national Republicans who are unpopular in Hawaii.
Hirono, a Democratic candidate for U.S. Senate, sent out a fundraising email on Thursday that urged supporters to sign a petition telling Lingle she is wrong.
Linda Lingle’s announcement is disappointing, but predictable. After all, Lingle has pledged her allegiance to the Washington Republicans who view her election as their ticket to a GOP-controlled Senate and to accomplishing their top priority: repealing the Affordable Care Act.
On Monday, retired Maj. Gen. Robert G.F. Lee, Lingle’s campaign manager for U.S. Senate, fired back that Hirono was blindly following national Democrats with her support for President Barack Obama’s most significant legislative achievement.
In a message to supporters, Lee said the U.S. Senate race is not about the Hawaii-born Obama and his policies.
Mazie Hirono’s extreme party loyalty prohibits her from considering and ultimately supporting policy changes to the health care legislation that would be better for the people of Hawaii.
In a shameless plea to raise money, Mazie has again stated that this election for Hawaii’s next U.S. Senator is about President Obama and his policies. Mazie simply doesn’t understand that this election is not about the White House or any single piece of legislation. She doesn’t get that this election is about us, the people of Hawaii, and about what life will be like for us in the years ahead.

lingle is not for the people either but her republican party.
As a republican party member she even doubted our President Obama and that she agrees that he was not born in Hawaii. lingle wasn’t born in Hawaii.
Furlough Fridays. Loss of thousands of jobs. her creation the super ferry sank.

So what is Gen. Lee’s point about Obama’s healthcare plan. Does his candidate support it or the Republican efforts to repeal it? If Lingle pretends she is “independent,” what are her opinions on the obvious efforts of the national GOP, including her Senate Republican allies, to gut Obamacare?
Does she have the integrity to provide a STRAIGHT answer. Or is she content with the evasive and dishonest comment Gen. Lee has made here.

lingle is as lingle does. she has no idea who she really is
since she has always been a marionette to her party and to unions.
Ask her God Father Larry. lingle was brought up by unions.

Like she would have passed Civil Unions Bill if the wording was right.
her lawyers found a loophole in wording not lingle. Integrity?
Health Care would be cheaper for everyone if all paid for Health Care in a group rate. Companies that have union members pay cheaper rates for a better Health Care than one who is non-union.
lingle has a chip on her shoulder as her birds of feather. Ever hear of the missing link? Get rid of that chip on your shoulder and you too can have a nice day.
