Target state
By ddepledge
The National Republican Senatorial Committee has not included Hawaii in its television advertising campaign to help Republicans take control of the U.S. Senate, but the group has directed some financial support to Hawaii Republicans.
The Target State Victory Fund, an NRSC-connected joint fundraising committee, gave more than $63,800 to the Hawaii Republican Party in late August. David Chang, the chairman of the state GOP, said the money will be used to pay for five NRSC operatives who will set up telephone banking and canvassing on behalf of former Gov. Linda Lingle, the Republican running against U.S. Rep. Mazie Hirono, D-Hawaii.
Chang said their political work would also benefit Republican candidates down the ballot. “We wanted to make sure that it’s good for all,” he said.

Well, Lingle didn’t exactly back Romney after that 47% gaffe, so, if this National Republican Senatorial Committee has to make a decision (yeah, yeah, you Lefties, Dems, and assorted Obama supporters are reading a Grease’s rap correctly), a Lingle would go to the wayside.
Don’t cry when Republicans take over across the board. The continental U.S. and our brave men and women defending the U.S. from across the sea are sick and tired of how things’re being run.

“We’ve got 23 million out of work or stopped looking . . . going with the status quo is not gonna cut it.” — Mitt Romney, Presidential Debate, University of Colorado, October 4, 2012
“I’m used to people not telling the truth and keep repeating it [thinking it is the truth] . . .”. — Mitt Romney, Presidential Debate, University of Colorado, October 4, 2012
There were no lies from Romney at the debate.

chang – what kind of silly statement is that? how can only helping lingle be good for the rest of the repub candidates down the line? each has his/her own race to run and need financial help. would not it be better to give the funds to those repbubs who have a fighting chance to win? lingle has no chance at all, it would be just a waste of money to throw money at a loser. no wonder you repubs keep losing races in hawaii, very poor thinking.

All for Lingle and none for any other GOP candidates. That has been the Standard Operating Procedure for the Lingle RINO Party of Hawaii. In 2002 there were 20 GOP in the State House of Representatives, 10 years later only 7 remain, two have retired and one was defeated (by his own party) leaving only FOUR possible returning GOP House members! That is Lingle’s real legacy, personal gain at any cost.

TRUST? The Republican Party cannot be trusted. Read Time Magazine’s edition on Paul Ryan. Both He and Gov. Romney are like the weather. You don’t know what they are going to say. So poor Lingle, she’s caught between a rock and a hard place. She should have been a Democrat. Soooo, TRUST is what this election is all about. TRUST NOT Romney/Ryan!

Hawaii Democrats ‘Innocent Observer’ and ‘Manoa Fish’ are suddenly so very concerned about the poor downticket Republicans. Democrats sew divisiveness much, eh? You’d think with 85% of the legislature, you’d relax a bit, but no — play it to the end. You guys must have a book with a list of these talking points.

To Chicken Grease:
“I’m used to people not telling the truth and keep repeating it [thinking it is the truth] . . .”. — Mitt Romney.
Well, old Mitt better find a way to shut up his own backers like Trump, the Tea Party extremists, and Rush, before they bury him in their idiodic beliefs. The Big Lie technique of propaganda is an old tactic of the GOP. Swift boating, birth certificates, Lingle’s “friendship” with Sen. Inouye, and “investigations” by Arizona sheriff Joe Arpaio are the low hanging fruit of the evidence of GOP transgressions.

It’s always interesting to me how much people THINK they know. I don’t know what all this means, and frankly I don’t care? We are in deep trouble in our state and country and we need leadership. My family is focused on who can ADVOCATE for us in DC, rather than who is advocating for a candidate. (side note: I for one am glad the national parties are not playing in HI…their vitriol would blunt each other and give me a headache.) So…with 30 days to go who will get our vote?I am going to watch Monday night at 7pm and at 8pm fill out my ballot. LEANING LINGLE as this point. Substance vs. Shallowness. But, I need to watch KHON at 7pm.

romney does not lie nor does one know the truth.

To CG;
I’ve reached an undecided state of Mind in regards to the Presidential race. The next 2 years will be so brutal for whomever “wins”, and there would be some rough justice in having a R clean out the Bushian stables. I think Mitt would possibly be a more decisive manager of the policy debate and process that faces the next term.
HOWEVER, to state “no lies” by Mitt is absurd, and reduces your message to inanity.
Obama responded poorly (uh, not at all!) to Mitts repositioning to the center, after 15 months of positioning himself just to the left of Atilla the Hun. Many of his debate statements on his economic / tax policies DO NOT correlate to his previous and oft stated positions.
I think that qualifies as less than the truth, which by the way, I’m not hung up on. Read Machivelli. Sure makes the race more interesting….and the Republic will survive regardless.
CG, your patois has some element of charm, but you lose a lot of credibility with assertions such as “there were no lies…” Mitt promised tax cuts for more than a year and never continued with “add to the deficit.” That’s a fact.
