U-n-i-t-e…
By ddepledge
The leaders of the state’s most influential labor unions met privately last summer and generally agreed on a united front for U.S. Rep. Mazie Hirono over former congressman Ed Case in the Democratic primary for U.S. Senate.
Most of the top labor unions subsequently endorsed Hirono, with one notable exception: The University of Hawaii Professional Assembly supported Case.
The faculty union has backed up its endorsement with a six-figure radio, television and direct mail ad campaign on Case’s behalf.
Primary voters opening their mailboxes over the past several days have found UHPA mailers for Case just as the Hawaii Government Employees Association released mailers on behalf of Hirono.
Meanwhile, Working Families for Hawaii, a labor group that supports Hirono, has bought radio ads critical of Case.

Ed Case appeals to haole professionals as a demographic. UHPA is less a “union” and more of a Professional Assembly” as they say in their name. More white professional class people supporting Ed Case as serving their interests. Where is the news in that?

Birds of a feather stick together. Missionaries don’t practice what they preach.
Our first Governor was a Ha’ole professional but one couldn’t careless since not being in Hawaii at that time. case is nowhere nears Governor John Burns in anyway, even if a Ha’ole professional.

Are we retro-gressing? Is it 1974? Read a few chapters in Ben’s book. He very well addresses the pre and post-Burns historical-political ethnic balances here in Hawaii.

(Repeat) case is nowhere nears Governor John Burns in anyway, even if a Ha’ole professional. Comparing case to Governor John Burns.
If I was being addressed.
