Soccer coach pay
By dreardon
The pay for UH’s new soccer coach, Michele Nagamine, was inadvertently not reported in today’s paper.
We don’t know the exact salary yet, but it will fall within the current UH-approved range of $50,000 to $85,000 per year, probably toward the high end, depending on incentives. Her predecessor, Pinsoom Tenzing, was paid near the top of that range.
Nagamine’s contract is for three years.
If UH athletic director Jim Donovan is consistent with other contracts he has done, Nagamine’s will be based heavily on incentives.
We will report more on this when we get a copy of the actual contract.
UPDATE: Nagamine will make $70,000 base salary. Incentive bonuses: $10,000 for making NCAA tournament and for winning the conference. $5,000 for each round advanced. $2,500 for conference coach of the year.
