Riewerts still going strong

Centurion No. 82, Ed Riewerts, is remembered as a gritty center who was a master technician and solid player in the early 1980s. He is also remembered for popularizing the Senior Walk with Blane Gaison.
Now, just a couple of years into serious competition in the discus, Riewerts is an elite level performer in his age group, and he is threatening the 50-over record of Olympic gold medalist Al Oerter.

Fantastic series so far.
Would have been great if you could have provided the years they played and vital statistics (height, weight, hometown, etc). Basically, the “flipside” of your virtual cards.

Yes, we thought about that. But with the time we had, it would’ve been difficult, if not impossible to get all that information for all 100 — we’re not even sure if it is available for some of the players from the first half of the century. Perhaps we’ll give it a shot if we do some actual cards.
