The offense ended practice in style with Shane Austin connecting with Royce Pollard for a touchdown on the first play of the overtime drill.
>> The secondary is running very thin late in the spring with three of the top four cornerbacks — Jeramy Bryant, Lewis Walker and Lametrius Davis — resting ailments today. Kawika Ornellas and Steve Stepter filled in for today’s practice.
>> Defensive end Liko Satele came up with an interception in the team period, picking off a shovel pass and running it back.
>> Known for making spectacular catches, slotback Greg Salas appeared equally adept at breaking up passes in batting away a potential interception. “I was out there making a play and Coach (Rich) Miano told me he was going to move me back,” Salas joked.

>> Wide receiver Rodney Bradley ran some routes in the 7-on-7 period for the first time this spring. While he’s not running at full speed yet as he comes back from a broken leg, but continues to progress in building strength in his leg.
>> Slotback Dustin Blount made the catch of the afternoon, a one-handed snag of a pass over the middle.
>> This year’s Warrior Bowl will be an offense vs. defense situational scrimmage. In past years, the team was split into two squads for the annual spring game. This time the offense and defense will compete in various situations, such as third downs, overtime and 2-minute drills.

>> The dedication and blessing for the new football wing of the athletic complex is set for Thursday morning.
