Warriors stay at No. 10 in AVCA poll

Not much change in the poll. The only difference is Stanford and UC Santa Barbara swapped places, the Cardinal to No. 3 and the Gauchos to No. 4. this after Stanford outlasted UCSB in 5 last week.
USC with 15 of the first-place votes, No.5 Ohio State with the other.

the question was why is Hawaii still No. 10.
The Warriors are in seventh place in the MPSF, the toughest league in the country. coaches also look at the wins UH has had.
Only Ohio State is in the Top 10 out of non-MPSF schools.
Shouldn’t be a surprise as to where they are.

Wahine officially begin spring practice March 7.
Hawaii will be going to USC spring tourney April 23 and sounds like they’ll scrimmage UCLA the day before. Don’t know who else is at SC.
The mini tourney with the DII schools is March 12. not sure where. it’s been up in Gym II and in Gym I in the past.

Great to see Yuval today

He brought wife Orna and 9-month-old daughter Hili to luncheon. Finishing up his MBA. he works in finance in Tel Aviv.
good catching up with him. took them almost 40 hours to get him, 30 of that flying. that’s a long trip.
Looks like he could still play. He’s going over the Big Island for a few days, back here for a couple, leaving Wednesday. Unfortunately he can’t stay long enough for the men against Pepperdine.
Brought back some really good memories. I was chatting with wife while he was being interviewed for TV, telling her some of the stories of Aaron Wilton in laundry baskets and Sivan’s craziness. She said she knows bits and pieces but that Yuval is very humble and doesn’t talk about his individual accomplishments.
