sand home opener Match 17 vs. Nittaidai and HPU at Queen’s Beach. Free but I don’t have times.

Volleyball schedule still waiting on Mountain West to release its football schedule so it can coordinate. Coming in for tournaments are UCLA, Stanford and Cal as well as San Diego State and Idaho.

No mention of Hewitt leaving which would be the news.

Olevao only recruit for 2012 but as mentioned earlier Shoji is looking to bring in at least one more OH for the season. Wong was in Europe recruiting, he was in Sweden, Estonia, Germany and Switzerland.

Was scheduled for 6 p.m. but they have had to cancel it. Think it was Wade who was ill and couldn’t do the show.

Was told today by one of our web guys that Volleyshots will be changing format to be consistent with the other ones we have, particularly Stephen Tsai’s that is so popular.

The change will be later this week, format as well as URL so you’ll have to change your bookmark/favorite link. Will let you all know more when I know more.

UCLA-Hawaii rewind

Well that was ugly, and quicker than Friday. 91 minutes.

Casebeer with a dozen kills, that’s half a case, right? 12-1-15, UCLA hit 366 to UH’s 090. Bruins 17-2 edge in blocks, no blocks for the Warriors after Set 1.

Hunt 5-6-19, West 3-3-6, Averill 4-4-13 in 2 sets, Lofy 5-0-7, Marks 5-2-13, Timmer 4-1-8 in 1 set, hinkle 1-2-5. Hawaii 3 aces, 11 SEs. all aces in Set 1.

Hawaii 15 digs, 5 by Biscaro. UCLA with 21, 6 by Mottram.

Nittaidai up next Friday and Sunday. probably a good break for the team to work on things against a non conference opponent.

The bottom line is UH isn’t very good and UCLA is.

My prediction? depending if Sander gets healthy for BYU, UCLA and Stanford for the MPSF title and maybe the NCAA championship. But if Sander gets healthy, can’t count out the Cougars.

Have a good night and enjoy the holiday.
