Alexander, Rausch take backup reps

September 30th, 2008

Tyler Graunke participated in individual passing drills, but JC transfers Greg Alexander and Brent Rausch took the backup QB reps to starter Inoke Funaki at this morning’s practice. Coach Greg McMackin told Jason Kaneshiro he wants to get the JC guys more work. Graunke’s hand is still not 100 percent. … About a half dozen Warriors did punishment drills after practice. … No test results yet for injured DT Rocky Savaiigaea.

I’m glad to hear that coach is punishing the team members that caused the team 15 yard penalties. You can play with great controlled enthusiasim, violance, strenght till the whistle blow than it stops. walk away, let them make the penalty, because when the ball is snapped you can put your money down that the warriors will be in your face again.

Graunke will be gone next year whether he plays anymore this year or not. We have to get our Juco’s ready for next year and the only way is through reps and actual playing time. Lately I’ve felt at football games that I’ve actually been at a baseball game…relief quarterback during 4th quarter. Let’s roll WARRIORS

    Amen to that, Shark.
