UH-Nevada basketball game back on, volleyball perhaps Monday

They got permission to reopen the campus for basketball.

Volleyball is hinging on whether BYU can change its flights until Tuesday. They’re waiting on that.

Guess since War Memorial being an evacuation center played a part in the decision not to go.

Safety comes first. I really feel bad for the maui fans that were looking forward to this match.

Me too. It would have been a great crowd. maybe more rabid because I don’t think a UH volleyball team has been there for a regular-season match since maybe the Wahine in 91?

Cindy any chance it will be rescheduled for later tonight or tomorrow??

Not tonight. Basketball at 7 p.m. … and BYU won’t play Sundays. Things depend on whether BYU can switch its tickets on Delta from Sunday to Tuesday.

So if BYU gets permission to switch flights to Tuesday will the game be played at SSC or at War Memorial on Monday?

  • Cindy Luis February 27, 2010 at 6:02 pm

    my guess would be SSC.

Either they play on Sunday or made to forfeit. Not everyone lets religion run their lives.

the ncaa allows byu and other church schools this exception. can’t hold it against them. Just hope they figure it out soon.
