Aloha to Tom Carney

A lovely service at ‘Iolani Sunday for Sean Carney’s dad Tom. quite a few of the volleyball team and vb community there. I didn’t make it to Friday’s banquet but everyone said it was a great time. Did speak to one of the volleyball selection committee members who attended. they’re making progress but didn’t (couldn’t) say more.

I wish they could hurry this up a little. Why does hiring coaches at UH always involve such a long and drawn out process. (no matter what the sport) Other schools seem to act much more quickly when hiring coaches.

process supposed to be done by the end of the month. i don’t think this is all that long and drawn out. it has to be posted for so many days (state law), HR had to cull out those not meeting the requirements. plus the interview process is a bit different when/if needing to fly in candidates.
