Brian’s story, from all angles

By Dave Reardon

ESPN was in town last week working on a story on Brian Kajiyama. Since it is for its weekly investigative show, E:60, it might be more than your typical human interest piece. I was interviewed for it, and all I’ll tell you at this point is not all the questions were of the the softball variety. The producer told me they want to explore this incredible story from all angles. They’re planning on airing it in October.

My postings may be even more sporadic in the next two weeks than they have been since the end of spring practice for two reasons. 1) There’s just not that much going on right now. 2) I’m on vacation. But since it’s a “stay”-cation, I’ll try to get something fresh up as much as possible and come up with some other prompts like the bucket list post.

Fantastic! A great story of a man with tremendous courage and unrelenting human will and intelligence. Please permit me to say that he is right up there with the spirit of Charley Wedeymeyer! Real Winners In Life Against All Odds. Go Brian, Go Charley, keep up your respective profiles in courage for the rest of us to try to follow. Aloha.

    Dave,

Your loyal fans understand how hard you work and want you to be well rested as the football season begins in a few weeks! Yes, we are starving for new information but there’s only so much to report from voluntary workouts.

Last years team was expected to win every week, while most of the “experts” pick UH to finish around 4th or lower this year.

I think this years team will surprise many fans. This years team will be better prepared every week and give a strong effort. We probably will not make a return to the Sugar Bowl this year but make your plans now to be at Aloha Stadium on Xmas Eve!!

    Go Warriors!!!!!
