Congrats to Kaufman, Croson

July 13th, 2010

Sorry, on Kauai for a wedding and am now just catching up

Kaufman won the high jump over the weekend at the North American, Central American, Caribbean (NACAC) Championships in Miramar, Fla. She cleared 6-1.25 (1.86m) to easily win the competition over fellow American April Sinkler (5-11.25/1.81m). Trinidad and Tabago’s Caleigh Bacchus claimed the bronze with a jump of 5-09.25 (1,76m).
Team USA collected 74 medals to dominate the 6th NACAC Under 23 Championships.

And that very busy and talented Wahine commit Jane Croson led the U.S. Junior National Team to the gold at the NORCECA Championships in Tijuana, Mexico, over the Dominican Republic. 25-22, 25-20, 25-20.
Croson was named Best Spiker and MVP of the tournament. She had 49 kills for Team USA with a tournament-leading 51.58 kill percent and a .400 hitting efficiency. Croson also added four blocks and two aces in the tournament for 55 total points and making her the fourth Best Scorer of the tournament.

Thanks for the up-date. I go through withdrawals when your blog is missing! I decided to buy season tickets this year instead of scalper tickets each game and apparently new sales have not started or I can’t figure out the system. Do you know if they are available yet?

  • Cindy Luis July 13, 2010 at 4:46 pm

The only thing i can find in regards to season tickets is that renewals for season tickets were due by June 28.
New season ticket purchases should be available soon. Give them a call at 956-4481 or 944-BOWS

    you can email them at

Congrats to Kaufman. Does she have a year left of eligibility in high jump?

I hope wahine fans show alot of support for Croson and her Los Alamitos team when they play at the Ann Kang Tournament in August.

Any news about the new assistant coach for the Warrior volleyball team?

thanks 808. the UH website is very out of date. they’re still offering men’s volleyball tickets for 2010

  • Cindy Luis July 13, 2010 at 4:58 pm

Have mentioned this several times but yes, Kaufman has one year remaining in track. you have 5 years to play 4 and she did not compete in track as a freshman.

nope, no word on men’s asst.
