Definitely qualified

I always felt like Chris Tormey got a raw deal when he was fired as Nevada’s head coach. Now he’s a UH assistant. This is a strong pick.

wow, this is huge. But, I wonder if this is a “stepping stone” job for him; being that he’s a former head coach.

Unreal. I also thought Tormey got the shaft at Nevada, and felt that Ault got rid of Tormey because Ault couldn’t get the coaching bug out of his system.

Well, that’s the case with anyone good, right?

Note; in 2003, Tormey’s Nevada team beat Washington, as the Wolf Pack blocked two field goal attempts.

Nice get!

UH needed more experience on its football staff, and they got it.
And Mr. Macadangdangshoyubillygoat…,” even if Tormey leaves after a couple years it still has to be nice to have a former WAC head coach on staff – even for a little while. I always thought Tormey did a nice job at Nevada.
Things, be looking up.

Good teams are always well coached. Hopefully, our players would stop making stupid mistakes this year. Adding Coach Tormey is great. More discipline will be instilled.

This is freakin awesome. Not only will special teams benefit, but having someone with that type of experience around the team will rub off every where.

This is really good news that we can pick up some experience on the staff. But when you say UH Assistant, where exactly is he fitting in on the coaching staff?

It should be interesting to see how much the players improve with these new coaches.

UHM9,
Tormey will be special teams coach and help with the defensive backs.

Dave,
I’ve worked with Coach Tormey while he was at UW and he is a great guy. You will enjoy getting to know him.
This was a steal for UH to get him. He could be D-Cord. in a year or two. He is definately qualified.

What a deal. Can you spell LEADERSHIP/ DISCIPLINE? Coach Tormey can. Maybe he can teach those traits to the other coaches, to include coach Mac. Go Warriors!
