Hawaii-BYUH rewind
By Cindy Luis
Thought Hawaii stayed pretty sharp against what was very much a WAC-like opponent. Nice that Karl Benson came. Guess he is in town for Boise State-Hawaii football.
BYUH did some good things, most of their blocks came in Set 3. Faka ‘osi had a nice match coming back off an injury that had her out for five matches.
Nice that Hawaii got everyone in. Too bad Maeda didn’t get the kill, she pushed it long.
Team back at practice at 9 a.m. Saturday. probably not a long one.

I thought the highlights of the celebration were Hedder’s singing and Raceen’s dancing. I can’t believe how RIPPED Ms Hawaii is. I’m not sure if she had those muscles when she was playing for Dave.

Raeceen was even more ‘ripped’ when playing. From what I was told, she was advised to become ’softer’ after she didn’t win her first go-round in the Miss Hawaii pageant. When we did the Wahine special in 07 her senior year, we shot her doing yoga poses. her musculature was really amazing.
she still works out but seems like it’s more toned than bulked.

Any way to get a list of the songs that’s played during warmups? Good stuff but can’t quite catch the lyrics enough to figure out the titles.

What did Hedder sing? I remember when she and Melissa V were still playing. They were quite the defensive duo. Probably among the best pairs to play for Dave.

I can ask. Are you talking about the normal warmup music or the oldies mix they use for the alumnae match?

I don’t know the name of the song but will ask when I see her at practice. She has a great voice. I think they were excellent, as are Lee and Ka’aihue.
