Hawaii sweeps NJIT 3-0 3-21

After a slow start, Hawaii comes back to win Set 1 30-23. Warriors trailed 9-5. Cervantes out in street clothes, Mike China playing libero.  Walker 4-1-12, Grgas 3-1-4, Lofy 3-0-5. a bit surprised UH isn’t exploiting the middle more but the passing hasn’t been great.  Same story in Set 2, with Hawaii eventually pulling away to a 30-19 win. Walker 8-2-19, Dyer 10-4-18, Carney 8-4-16.

    Hawaii wins Set 3 20-23. It’s the Warriors first two-match winning streak. Walker and Dyer with 10 kills each.
    All 11 UH players in uniform got in, with China switching to hitter for Set 3 and Ching at libero. Wilton said he was resting Cervantes.

    Tuaniga not suited up. Sounded like he got behind in his school work again.
