Has a bulging disc but dosen’t want the operation.
Lost two grandparents recently, needs to be closer to family who live in Seattle but in the next breath dosen’t like Seattle and is moving with sis to Dallas.
Britt sounds like a very confused girl. Would not surprise me if people see her name on the Texas roster this coming fall. Could be one reason why she does not want operation.
What an idiot, whats your problem. Always being negatve, she is retiring from volleyball. Don’t you realize that she can’t play for another team unless she asks/receives a release from UH. Your irresponsible statements are so foolish, have you no shame.
leftout, since she graduates in May, she can play on any team right away.
Agree…..no sense reading into it more than there is. And, Texas is located in Austin, not Dallas.
Someone needs to make an appointment with Brittany when she starts practicing.
Steve, Brittany is not confused. She has decided her priority is not volleyball. She is graduating, she is not transferring. She is done with volleyball, likely will be married next year and ready for that stage of her life.
I wish her well. Having a bulging disk is no fun. I would never get a back operation. Let her be and let her go it is her decision so no sense trying to read into this. She is a young lady and she will eventually sort out her life in time.
i guess people want to know when do the grades come out to determine a certain volleyball player FF might become available does somebody know? truth be told it could the key what kind of team te wahine might be
Yes still cant believe that Hewitt is leaving–seems like a major loss for Hawaii. But thinking positive I am on board with Jeff on the Falyn situation and have been since August…I hate this waiting game its making me go crazy…LOL!
So,my girl is doing the talk show circuit.Letterman is next up.
Turning to another subject and that being live coverage of the Wahine-Nebraska match on Maui.I’m thinking like other spring matches nothing is planned.,no TV,no live stats,no radio.
However, I will be there in person sitting in the Royal Box which is conveniently located close to the restrooms.
Doesn’t indoor spring practice officially start soon ?
Don’t know the offficial start date, but according to their sites BYU started Feb 16 and USC last week.
fyi.. I heard from a very reliable source that FF wants to be a Wahine.
Haushinka, I believe your source is about 8 months late. we’ve been saying this since August.
i worded my statement incorrectly. in any case, i hope she really makes the team.
sorry, didn’t mean to come off as curt. from everything I’ve been told, she is working at being able to play for UH this fall. Her family wants her to be here. Her mother continued to call Shoji even after she was at SC to ask about the possibility of her coming to UH.
Indoor started this past Monday. They are going early. like 630.
Cindy, why are they going to change the format of this blog? I like how it is easier to see responses with this format. On Tsai’s blogs, they use numbers and refer to the numbers, but the numbers often change due to deletions or for whatever reason. Is there any particular reason besides making all blogs uniform?
Wawa, exactly why they are making the change … to make it uniform.
also my blog is on the old star bulletin server. they need to move it over to the star-Advertiser server.
I’m not happy with this format but not crazy about Tsai’s. however it seems that people prefer his format. not my decision, sorry.
not sure when it’s going to happen.
they were having issues related to LeapDay on the system.
Talking about change and uniform one thing that’s gonna change is the wahine uniform with the Big West logo. Looking forward to that. Asics has really been good to NaWahine over the years.
Cindy, do you know how many credits a student needs to be of sophomore standing?
i’m assuming that it would be 24 credits, 12 is considered full time for a semester at UH.
How does every discussion devolve into a discussion about Falyn? I hate to perpetuate the myth but there are a few critical questions about her eligibility. Was she academically eligible when she left USC? Did she complete the second semester of her freshman year at USC? Is she now enrolled as a full time student at UH? If so, how long has she been enrolled and how many units has she completed. If she is enrolled at a community college will she graduate with an AA by June? There are NCAA rules that even apply to Falyn. These don’t seem like difficult questions and someone must know the answers.
Falyn wasn’t academically eligible to play for the Spring or Fall in 2011 and moved to UH in August and has been said the have completed her first semester and we are waiting to see if she has completed enough credits to become eligible to play.
We only discuss about Falyn because we would really love her at UH. That comes up more now because of the lose of Hewitt which is still sad….
if you’d been following along for the past 7 months, the questions have been answered several times.
but don’t know what she and Hewitt have to do with each other since they both play different positions.
To recap: Fonoimoana was declared ineligible by USC for 2011-12. She also wasn’t eligible to participate in spring 2011.
she is enrolled at UH. This is her second semester as a full time student. She is not at a Community College. If that were the case, she would have to get her AA and wouldn’t be eligible until Fall 2013. she would then only have 2 years of eligibility
She needs to have sophomore status to participate fall 2012. and she would have 3 years.
It’s good to know that she IS enrolled full-time @ UH this semester. Haven’t seen her around campus at all this Spring and of course last semester we knew she was here since she attended some vb games.
On another note, thanks for responding to my questions regarding the blog & the new format.
Actually don’t follow every thread but was sad to hear that Hewitt would not be returning. I too didn’t understand why Falyn came up. The comment about her mother calling UH about coming to UH while she was on scholarship at USC says it all.
With Hewitt not returnig and the graduating of Kanani & Satele…how do you think UH will do against the top schools in the Big West, particularly Long Beach. They will have a very formidable tandem in the middle with Hampton and Serna..
