Ingram signs with agency

Jake Ingram signed with agent Wynn Silberman of the Morgan Advisory Group, which is based in Santa Clara, Calif.MAG represents quite a few pro football players, but its most well-known client may be Kerri Walsh.”It’s a great year,” Silberman said. “We got the No. 1 beach volleyball player in the world and the No. 1 long snapper in college football.”Silberman said one NFL GM has already told him Ingram is a lock to be drafted. He also expects him to be invited to the NFL Combine.Ingram will work out at Elite Training in Los Angeles, the same facility Reggie Bush used to prepare for the combine.

I’m amazingly impressed that Jake is considered the best long snapper in college ranks. Considering there are at least a thousand or more colleges with football programs, Jake’s signing with a high profile agent gives him an enormous edge to be picked high in the draft.

I remember when Jake drove from his home in Mililani to my house in Kailua, knocked on the door and said “Aunty, I want to play college football”. I said “get in the car”. We drove down to UH, I called Rich from the car and said “Im bringing you a player”. We met up with Rich in the weight room, walked up to the offices, where they talked and I hung out with a few of the coaches. Jake said he was going to work out and would catch a ride back to get his car. Simple as that. When the coaches saw his size they knew they could figure out something to do with him. Jakes a great individual with a great attitude and I wish him the absolute best. He was such a tall thin baby faced kid and he’s grown into a wonderful young man.
