Matt Bender played for the Warriors.Debbie Hecht, Candidate Hawai’i County Council District 8-North Kona.Sorry but I did not receive the info before her campaign meeting Monday.     What’s the update on Matt Bender? He was from the group of my favorite players along with Tony Ching and Arri Jeschke. I think Jeschke is in the AVP.

    Jackie Rasay (Danny Rasay’s Mom) is right, I am running for Hawaii County Council, District 8. Matt Bender is in the NY/ NJ area, working as a computer programmer. He married Melanie Smith in October who is working in NYC in the PR department of a magazine. I visited them in early July and they are doing very well. Matt’s playing volleyball in the City leagues in North Jersey. Personally, I miss watching the volleyball games. I was disappointed that no one from UH was on the Olympic team from Matt’s group.

    Hi Debbie. Thanks for the update. Hope the campaign is going well.

    I think that Delano and Alfie will be in the mix for 2010. Hugh likes both of them. And he said he thought Beckwith had a future with USA Volleyball too.
