McInnis on the scene

By Dave Reardon

I’m home today nursing a nasty sore throat today.

Brian McInnis went out to the unsupervised workout this afternoon. He’ll have a report in tomorrow’s SB, and perhaps a note or two of insight here later today.

UPDATE: Brian reports that Shane Austin, he of the fractured bone in his foot, was out there today throwing. He still has a boot on the foot, but seems to be coming back nicely from the injury suffered during the spring game.

get well soon. be careful, some of those cough drops have sugar in them, which doesn’t help at all.

hmmm, when did i turn into my grandma?!

  3. longrice Says:

Mahalo for the work you do… by the way gargle with hawaiian salt 3x a day for 3 days. The salt water will address the virus or infection problem for sure.

Hmmm…a friend told me this remedy which seems kinda of gross but similar to longrice. She said, while showering, instead of gargling with hawaiian salt 3x or along with doing it 3x per day inhale/sip the salt water thru your nose/nostril and spit it out. She said it’ll clear/heal your passages plus bring healing to your throat. Another home rememdy is to mix honey and lemon juice and warm it in a steamer or low setting in a microwave oven and sip. It’ll make your sore throat feel better and the coating will last a little longer because of the honey. Get well Dave!!!!

Dave, you gotta take Zicam, preferably the rapid melts. That stuff really works to shorten the duration and severity of colds. Also use Cold Eez drops, which like Zicam have primarily zinc to fight colds.
Of course, if you have strep throat, please disregard all the above info. Like BJ told Sean Sherk, you’re dead!
