Agent Kenny Zuckerman, who has an excellent track record with Hawaii football players including Olin Kreutz and Davone Bess, has signed Ryan Mouton and David Veikune. Both will train at Athletes Performance Institute in Carson, Calif., at the Home Depot Center where UH does its annual pro day. They’ll both play in the East-West Shrine Game in Houston, Jan. 17.

Much luck to all of Hawaii’s NFL prospects. The winds of chance are very fickle though; we all know that these guys have got the goods..the only question is if they will get a legitimate shot. Case in point: Colt brennan not getting a showcase while Matt Ryan & Joe Flacco (who I consider to be significantly inferior) get all the accolades and are in the running for Rookie of the Year. Ryan will probably get the nod and it makes me sick because I don’t think either of the guys can hold a candle to Colt. In terms of college, just think of what Colt could have done if he played behing the O-lines of Texas, Texas Tech, Oklahoma or even Notre Dame for that matter. He would’ve shattered anything Bradford, Harrell or McCoy have accomplished & that’s not just wishful thinking.
