I think people would want Hawaii to go to a 6-2 but mens games have a very small amount of subs compared to the womens and it makes no sense why they are increasing the amount of subs for the womens games. But I would go for a 6-2 if they have the possibility
as someone mentioned, there are limited subs in men’s vb. but i do like your suggestion.

The women’s program has a reputation of deserting the fans as soon as the season ends.What the heck they got your money.
Just thought of something else. I have several e-mail accounts all for different reasons.I signed up for “H”-Mail years ago got a few then it stopped. I signed up again using two other e-mail accounts and still I get nothing and yes I know all about checking span folders.
Ever try getting answers from anyone at UH ? It’s like pulling teeth but they have no problem taking your money.
LC, I don’t know what you’re getting at. their season is over. what are they supposed to be owing you in spring? they are students, with a couple of weeks of spring practice. and now most of them are involved in sand.
I’m talking about the coaches not the players.
Oh, OK. but what are you expecting from the coaches then? there are dead periods in recruiting and then some spring practices.
I expect them to communicate with the fans on occasion like other coaches in this sport do. The minute the Final Four is over they disappear.
LC, please give examples of what other coaches do. I don’t understand what you’re expecting from them when they aren’t in season.

If Brittany Hewitt decides to end her playing days and move on in life she should be allowed to participate in a senior celebration this spring at the spring game here or on Maui. Allow the fans to show their appreciation for all she has done in a wonderful Wahine career. I would fly to Maui just to give her a standing ovation. I will miss her next year and I know I’m not alone.
i don’t know. nice thought but hardly the senior night at the arena she deserves.
I think she’ll be back but that’s just MHO.
Thanks Cindy. I hope you’re right. Obviously the decisions of two potential members of next year’s Wahine team will have huge implications. Together with the debut of Norm Chow these two could send the fan excitement of next fall thru the roof. Both programs could legitimately be “chasing championships”.
Thanks for the input. It appears no one really knows if Hewitt will be returning next season. I just thought maybe she had made a decision and I missed it. LC, I agree with you, it would be nice if we ocassionally got updated news from the UH athletic department/coaches regarding Wahine Volleyball but I guess we just have to be patient.
Mary Wise has to be the best for communicating with her fans via social media all year long.

There was an article on spring volleyball in the morning’s paper. Nothing about Hewitt or FF in it, but maybe in Hewitt’s case no news is good news.
Shoji did say he hopes to bring in “at least one more hitter” for the fall, but unfortunately no names were mentioned.
he probably gave no names because he can’t say, if in the case of a transfer, until they are in school or have their release.
