The Star-Advertiser wasn’t the winner of the inaugural award but was a finalist. And the only daily (non-campus) newspaper honored.
Penn State’s campus daily won while the S-A was a finalist along with the UCLA and Ball State student newspapers.
Appreciate all who posted comments that allowed us to be considered.
