I left a late post on yesterday’s UCLA-SDSU blog with what little I know about the UCLA team this year. It somehow got pasted into the middle of the thread, and you all had moved on by then, but it’s still there if anyone’s interested. Sealy isn’t just splitting the setting duties to piss off his old boss, who isn’t above a little gamesmanship himself. I wonder if he would have the nerve to continue that into the PAC, but I suspect that a starter will emerge against UH, Pepp, USC, and OSU over the next 2 weeks
Lacking video, I’m interested in whether Haley Lawless (#4) has suited up for these matches. I suspect redshirt, but nothing as informative as that will ever appear on the UCLA web site. Anyone?
I asked Sealy about the 2 setters. he said that he’s waiting for someone to win the position. No one has been the clear winner yet.
Asked him about not playing Klineman much. He said. hard for her to break in against a couple of all-Americans. Suspect that is the same case with Lawless, one of seven freshmen on the roster.
Idaho wins 25-23. Aztecs made things interesting. Went from 24-20 to 24-23. Still think Idaho was into the net on that last play but they didn’t call it. On to Set 3.
It’s funny how Cindy groaned twice figuring we’d go to five sets. Actually, it is UCLA that should groan the most if they planned to fly back to LA this evening.
Idaho up 18-11 in the 2nd Set
