Oh my, big belly laugh. Let me see if I've got this straight. UH cathes us after the NCAA beat down and during their long gone June Jones glory years; you take 1 out of 3 and suddenly "I'm a contender". On the other hand I thought the games with UH were fun and exciting. I really enjoyed the interaction with your fans and developed respect for your players, I think they fought hard and had no quit in them - but this is big time college football and the cream always rises. In our case it's been a little butter lately but you would have to had your head in the sand not to see what's happening at Alabama.

I went to both Hawaii games in Tuscaloosa, and the Warriors played my Crimson Tide tough. But MY hat's off to all those loyal fans from Hawai'i who travelled all that way to support their team. We would love to have y'all come back and visit. Hawai'i fans are probably the best in NCAA football. Aloha!

As an Alabama fan, I remember Peter Kim and what an asset he was for our team. I remember hearing during one broadcast that he grew up wanting to play for the Bear. He was a spectacular place kicker. I wouldn't mind playing Hawaii at all. And by the way, I think you guys have garnered a lot of respect nationally over the past couple of years, and I hope that your success continues. And if a home and home series comes to fruition, let the best team win. Roll Tide!!

Foolish statements by another sub par conference's lower echelon team. We're Alabama, so we are unfortunately used to crap like that. I only give respect where respect is due and you aren't showing Alabama any (wow, here's a new one). I hope we steamroll you guys from here to Honolulu and back again. ROLL TIDE!

Thanks "Real Southerner". And what a gentleman you are. As a Crimson Tide Fan let me tell y'all that he's right. Bama's coming back - and soon. That said I went to the lovely islands in 2001 and had a great experience with Hawaii fans and the attractions were outstanding! Bama fans look forward to the days when we'll play anyone at the drop of a hat...and throw the hat down ourselves.

Please excuse the guy putting down Hawaii and claiming to know southern football. His credibility went out the window when he said Alabama is one of the worst teams in the SEC. He apparently is around five years old and hasn't been around long enough to see what Alabama is capable of. This is coming from an Arkansas fan that knows how dangerous the Crimson Tide will be once Nick Saban get's them headed back in the right direction. You might want to get them on the schedule soon before that number one ranked recruiting class goes on it's national championship run...

What about the Saban Rule, where coaches can use teleconferencing to visit schools? What about a nice auditorium big screen visit with the ha'a and UH highlights, then a videoconference with McMackin.

The biggest challenge for us Warriors will be heat, humidity, traveling commercial most of the way and time difference flying east. It's hard enough flying there on vacation or business. Despite the obvious challenges, my prediction is that after August 30th we will have gained FL's respect:-).

First of all,Hawaii is a 'Soufern' as a state gets in the union (you paying attention in Geography class, or hitting lines again?) Secondly, on any given day nearly any time can win in D1 football. Bring your vaunted Souf teems ofer to Hanalolo an you''' be eatin crow wif your 'lines'!

If you believe that UH can beat Alabama in Honolala or in Tuscaloosa, you must be hitting lines. Alabama, who is clearly one of the worst teams in the "Mighty SEC" will run up the score on the Rainbows. You want to gain respect play LSU, TENN, AUBURN, or FLA (who clearly will play you like a J.V. team). Georgia wasted their time with the 'BOWS. You can't schedule one of the weakest opponents in the NCAA and expect to play with the big boys in Texas, LA, MISS, ALABAMA, FLA, GA. Come to the Souf and recruit higher than our practice squad, maybe you will only lose by 15 points. Until then Colt Brennan will be a good backup in the CFL
