I was just wondering about the left overs for Shoji’s 1000 gift. What they going to do with it? Are they going to sell it…???? Cause I really wanna buy one….

I’m not sure what theyr’re going to do with the leftover photos. I’ll check tomorrow at practice. T-shirts have been very big sellers. Large ones are in their 4th printing. the Rainbowtique guy was pretty surprised by the demand last week. This was Tuesday after the LaTech match. There are some volleyballs left at $35 a pop. Not sure if Rainbowtique will continue selling the pink shirts but they seemed popular when they were being sold Friday on the concourse.

Seems like Pac-10 power is more diffused this year. Usually maybe 5 of national top 10 are Pac-10. This week 8 are in the top 25 (OSU receiving votes also), but only 2 in the top 10. Nonetheless, still VERY impressive.

Don’t know if it’s more diffused or if there’s a lot of parity within the conference and everyone beats each other up. plus the conference doesn’t do volleyball any favors with a lot of Friday-Saturday matches. you don’t see that happening in basketball.
besides it’s just a poll. the reality comes in the ncaa tournament.
Still the Pac-10 is very impressive.
good to meet you as well. thanks for stopping me on the concourse.

Cindy,
Do you think the Pac-10 can get a possible 9 teams in this season (into the NCAA’s)?
Must note that ASU, despite their record, is also just as good as a lot of other mid-major teams that will likely make the Tournament this season.

Can’t think that that Pac-10 will get nine teams in but stranger things have happened. when they look at RPI, even a loss by a team in the Pac-10 keeps their RPI high since it’s considered a ‘good’ loss.
when you look at the current standings, 5 teams are under .500, including USC 4-5. It will be interesting to see what the committee does if teams are under .500 in conference.
