It looks like the live-streaming is still free according to the Oceanic website.

    • Cindy Luis

I think the sad part is that without football the Big West has no clout in the TV market. Have you seen the number of Pac-12 channels Oceanic offers? There’s going to be Pac-12 volleyball on constantly.

      • Steve

Cindy, when I saw that Oceanic picked up PAC-12 TV, I thought it was going to be like the Big Ten TV, just one channel. I was totally surprised when I saw 6-7 channels. Not only will people be able to see almost every single PAC 12 volleyball match, but also, basketball (men’s & women’s), baseball, softball, and quite possibly soccer.

  • Vinny

Someone at UH really needs to get with Oceanic and the Big West because there is much confusion on this subject.

The Big West TV claims that it’s free with a link to the OC 16 Live Stream web page which also shows no charge. The BW tweets it free.

This is the quote on the BW web site.”For the fifth year, all home and conference matches will be broadcast on the BigWest.TV platform. Beginning this season, all BigWest.TV live content will stream FREE OF CHARGE.

While recently talking to Oceanic on another problem I brought up the subject and they even brought up the BW TV schedule on their computer after I gave them the link and they saw it for themselves but told me that Oceanic has yet to reach an agreement with the Big West on live streaming.

Because I’m at the SSC I have no idea if anyone actually watched it for free. Some on VT say they have.

A relative of mine said that he has never been able to get it because all it does is buffer.

Once again they never seem to be able to get all of their ducks in a row.

This athletic department is so poorly run it’s pathetic.

    • Cindy Luis

Vinny, don’t know if the athletic department is to blame completely. Could be partly the Big West and Oceanic not communicating.

  • Vinny

Agree, all three are to blame but no one can deny that this athletic department is poorly run.

  • BYU usually broadcasts their games. Much better pic than oceanic.

    • Cindy Luis

Thanks Burt. What I don’t like about the Blue & White network is the bias. But they are the B&W. I thought KFVE’s broadcasts were about the best you could get. And the camera work of both KFVE and OC are unmatched.

  • Steve

Cindy, have you heard anything from Ann concerning today’s practice?

  • Cindy Luis

no, practice IS at 3 p.m.

  • Try ocsports.tv I have watched last weeks games on the computer all live streaming for FREE. I am not sure if you type http//. or www, mine just goes on automatic. I live on the big island, otherwise I would attend the games at SSC.

  • Screw U OC 16

When you call Oceanic you will never get the same answer twice.

In a call to Oceanic I was told that if you live in Hawai`i you have to have their Road Runner service but if you live outside of Hawai`i you don’t need it.If you live in Hawai`i you can’t even pay to see their internet feeds without having Road Runner.

Is this black mail or what ? Does this say something about what they really think about the people of Hawai`i ?

  • Seems like both Nikki Taylor and Tayler Higgins are in the top 30 Senior Aces list.

  • Steve

Cindy, if Olevao does not play this weekend, can she still play in the Alumnae game and still redshirt?

  • Vinny

So all that talk about line up changes turns out to be all about nothing.

  • Robin

Sports Animals had a discussion on a Mt. Rushmore of all-time Wahine players. I said the 4 would be the 4 Natl Players of the Year: Deitre Collins, Teee Williams, Kim Willoughby, and Angelica Ljunguist. As for a 12-member all-time team, I have the following: Note all were at least 2X 1st team All-American.

    Deitre Collins
    Teee Williams
    Kim Willoughby
    Angelica Ljunguist
    Robyn Ah-Mow
    Kanoe Kamanao
    Joyce Ka’apuni
    Suzanne Eagye
    Karrie Trieschman
    Heather Bown
    Lily Kahumoku
    Kanani Danielson

    • Steve

Robin, I like your 4 Mt. Rushmore players, except I would replace Willoughby, with Danielson, but this is just my opinion only. No argument with your 12 tho.

  • Robin

    sp: Ljungquist

  • Steve

Watching the FSU vs Univ. of Miami (FL) match, and looks like they are playing in a high school gym. The gym looks smaller then Klum, or even Mckinley gym. WOW!!!!

  • Vinny

Where is Misty on a modeling assignment in Paris ?

  • Steve

Miami (Florida) beats #6 Florida St., 3-1.

  • Steve

Vinny, did you hear, Texas lost to Minnesota, yesterday, 3-1. That’s 2 teams that are ranked above the Wahine that lost so far this week.

  • Vinny

    Exciting match,students storming the floor.

  • Steve

    Texas beats Minnesota today, 3-1.

  • Vinny

Texas splits with Minny so that could be be a wash as far as the AVCA voters go.

  • Vinny

#10 Dayton lost twice so they will fall along with #6 FSU.

Huge opportunity for the Wahine this weekend if they want to move back up in the polls.

  • Steve

Cindy, any news on who will be starting on the RS, for the Wahine’s.

  • Steve

Maybe, tonite the Wahine match will start on time. :-)

  • Steve

Wow, Cindy got to the Arena early. She must have confidence the Wahine match will start on time.

  • Steve

Cindy, since you are online, I wanted to ask you, can Olevao play in the Alumnae game, and still reshirt?
