After 2 UCI services error, McDonnell has created all sorts of problems for UH’s passing. 2 aces and and overpass. TO Warriors.
UH 1-1-5, UCI 3-0-5.
Not good when 3 of UH’s 4 points are via UCI serving errors.
UCI has pulled away at 15-7 at the TTO
Anteaters serving really tough. UH 3-2-11. UCI 7-0-9.
Hunt 1-2-6, Lofy 1-0-2, Marks 1-0-2, Averill 0-0-1. not much for Biscaro to work with. UH with 3 SEs hasn’t helped either.
UCI up 19-10, TO UH. really ugly. no energy at all on the UH side. Warriors 4-4-15, UCI 9-1-13.

Averill blocked on a rare set to the right. it’s 15-9 at the TTO. UH 4-4-12, UCI 8-0-12.
great blind backset by Castello makes it 16-12. can’t believe Speraw is whining. kill was good by Marks. and confirmed by video. marks with another kill makes it 16-13. TO UCI
argh, 2 kills by hunt pulled UH to 19-18. Biscaro serves long. McDonnel hits Marks with his serve for another ace. it’s 21-18. TO UH.
UCI wins 25-19. last two points on the BIC to Hunt, who hit into the net.

yep, it is ugly. UCI with its second match point at 24-19. West with a block makes it 24-20. Ace by Lofy and it’s 24-21. TO UCI
At least Hackbarth makes it entertaining. UH with another block makes it 24-21. Phelps serving for Lofy.

Reminds me back to the last seasons under Wilton, Sparse crowds and team getting dominated
Agree, a little. but the crowds haven’t been great for awhile now. I attribute that in part to the switch of boys volleyball to spring from fall. It’s still the best atmosphere in college volleyball. Tickets where 2636.

West finally got a swing, 2 actually, dug once, put down the second to tie it at 1-1.
Thinking maybe Biscaro (and Castell) shouldn’t set the left side so much. Hunt blocked, Marks blocked, Averill blocked. UCI with 4 blocks this set alone, lead 10-5. TO UH. Anteaters closing their block well.
