Agree with the comments overnight.
you would like Biscaro to backset every once in a while. think there have been plenty of opportunities for him to dump as well but not his game.
something to consider is, Zemljak’s backset D sets to Umlauft were so effortless and his being 6-10 with hang time masked what often weren’t money sets. with no set opposite, Biscaro hasn’t had the chance to work with a set lineup nor get that backset down.
not giving up on Marks. did like the way Sedore looked.
and think Castello very much the MVP.
Hawaii has caught and passed GCU for a 15-14 lead at the TOO. Warriors with 3 blocks already. Marks has started off well, hit off speed to an open court. he’s 3-1-5. Hunt 3-0-4. West 1-1-3, Averill 1-1-4, Lovy 1-0-2. UH hitting 333, GCU 273.

I think Sedore should come in for Marks now. Sedore was pretty impressive for a player coming off the bench

I’ve never been one to criticize Biscaro, since this his first season starting, but he has made some poor choices tonight…
Yes, a little surprised no sedore. Biscaro hasn’t been consistent but not going to fault him completely. Castello keeping them in the match for sure.
I gotta say he’s not improving the way I hoped. his location is just all over the place and he’s a bit predictable late in sets.
i’m not going to be too harsh on Biscaro.

Nick West has improved a lot…hope he can play at a high level against MPSF teams…
West is improving. still jumping too early on blocks but he has learned to correct some of the problems he’s had.
and his wardrobe has improved. shorts not rolled up.
Smart roll shot by Averill, ace by Hunt puts UH up 8-6. SE by Hunt, it’s 8-7.

This rotation with Smith serving has given UH problems. Hunt blocked. it’s 23-20. they really need to close this one out.
