Update on Raeceen Woolford, running again for Miss Hawaii
By Cindy Luis
Former UH assistant/manager Ryan Tsuji running this but here is the info on the contest and to donate. email Ryan at tsuhir@hawaii.edu
Well it’s that time of the year again to help out one of our friends, Raeceen, as she prepares for the Miss Hawaii competition on June 27 at the Hawaii Convention Center. This year, the competition will be tough with over 30 contestants vying for the title of Miss Hawaii and to represent our state at the Miss America competition. I’m trying to help drum up support and believe that really she is the best candidate for this title and would be a great representative for the State on a national level.
There are number of ways in which you can help out. Obviously, times are difficult and we all recognize that financially it is getting harder and harder to live our daily lives, let alone donate to others in need or seeking assistance. However, as you can image, financing a run at the crown is not easy, but we are looking for assistance in not only funding but a in a couple of ways:
1) To those of you who are interesting in attending, come down at join us at the Hawaii Convention Center on June 27th at 8:00 PM. For those of you who cannot make it, but would like to send support, we are looking for sponsors for tables to the event. Tables will cost $600, so we are looking for any amount of donation that would help us cut down the price for those who will be able to be in attendance and there to support Raeceen.
If you would like to attend, please email me and we can figure out the ticket situation once we receive word of any possible donations.
2) There will also be a online voting this year, so if you are able to spread the word to friends to go online in a few weeks and vote for Raeceen on the OC16.tv website and click on the Miss Hawaii page for information on how to vote for Rae.
3) We are asking for your PRAYERS and know that God’s hand will be upon Rae as she attempts to be a role model for our youth and community. There really is no better role model out there!
Thanks again for all your support and friendship with Rae over the years. Be sure to tune in to OC16 at 8 on June 27 for all the action. And if you’re not in Hawaii, you can watch it streaming live on OC16.tv. Please feel free to contact myself or Rae at raeceen@hawaii.edu if you have any questions!
Thanks again, take care and god bless.
Ryan Tsuji
