    Cindy,

I do not know if the MWC would allow that, meaning Fresno St. or UNLV, being in their conference for only football. If the BWC wants to add one more team they should look at University of San Diego.

no, don’t think it will be USD. had long discussions with the WAD commish years ago about why USD would be a great member IF they upgraded football. They didn’t way to put the money into a DI program which is why Harbaugh left and went to Stanford and now th eNFL.
just saying that the Big West would like UNLV to come over, and Fresno State.
As for the alumnae match so far down the line don’t have any idea. they usually don’t confirm totally until the day of. and doubt that any alumnae team would beat the wahine this season.

        Cindy,

The list of names I saw had, Kanani Danielson, Chanteal Satele, Heather Bown, Kanoe Kamanao, Aneli, Mafua, Liz, Ashley, and of course, Robyn. That team alone can give the Wahine’s trouble. Oh, forgot to mention Hewitt.

painful to watch Cal go through this time, Can’t even fathom the idea that the same women’s v-ball program was on national championship 2 years ago. I know it’s not the same team, but same program and coaching staff. I guess the question is how can a program like Cal go from one end of the spectrum to the other as far as the program is concern?
Injuries and talent pool or lack there of would always be part of any collegiate and professional sports but how the people running the program reacts to them is what separates good to bad. So what’s really going on at Cal?

    Cindy,

Off subject, but do you have an exact list of what alumnae will be involved in the alumnae game. An early list that I saw, some of those players, if involved in the alumnae match against the Wahine, could give the Wahine a run for their money. Could even be one of the toughest matches the Wahine will have this season.

    • Cindy Luis

really, the alumnae tougher than Stanford or UCLA? doubt it.

      • Steve

Well, you could have 2 former Olympians, in Robyn, and Heather. Then there is Kanani, and Hewitt, not to mention Chanteal. Add to that Liz, and Ashley. Just Kanani and Heather will give the Wahine trouble. With Robyn, Mafua, and Kanoe, setting. Not to mention Hewitt.

Not sure why UH doesn’t do what the men do and start the previous game at 4 instead of 5. Was hoping to be home early tonight lol

Fresno State and/or UNLV would mean the MWC would lose both schools’ football programs to the Big East.

Neither program brings a whole lot so perhaps the Big East is that desperate… SDSU had one good year and they got in. I’d prefer the BWC being an all California and Hawaii conference. BUT if it came down to it, UNLV and Nevada aren’t that bad… Boise OTOH, oy….

Wow Higgins went out and they had no offense left.

I predicted that San Francisco would give both California and Baylor problems; half of that came true so far. I looked at the USF roster and there are a lots of foreign players. It is very hard to evaluate such teams. For example, Florida is a top ten team now just because of its freshman, Ziva Recek. Two of USF’s best players are Valentina Zaloznik from Slovenia and Ester de Vries from the Netherlands. De Vries hits hard and has a wicked jump serve. Very similar in built to Hartong but less powerful and less athletic, but still very effective. San Francisco will do well in its conference, the WCC.
