WAC to stream VB tourney, hotel package info

The first two days of the Western Athletic Conference volleyball tournament will be streamed live over the internet, WAC officials announced this morning.
Viewers can sign up at www.WAC.tv to watch the quarterfinals on Nov. 23 and the semifinals on No. 24. The Nov. 25 championship match will be available on ESPNU.
The top six teams advance to the tournament with the top two seeds receiving byes into the semifinals. No. 3 Hawaii (23-3, 13-0) is guaranteed a bye.
The cost per day is $9.95.
The tournament returns to Las Vegas for the first time since 1998 and will be held at the Orleans Arena.
A tournament package is available to fans at the Orleans, the host hotel. Rates are $90 per night, Friday and Saturday, Nov. 20-21, and $35 per night Sunday through Wednesday, Nov. 22-25. The price is for single or double occupancy and does not include room tax or resort fee.

Tickets are available through UH or at the Orleans … but there is an extra handling fee through the hotel. All-session is $45, single-session (adults) $20 , single-session (students/youth) $10 and children under 2 free. Single-session tickets no available until Nov. 16.

Any word if KFVE will send a crew. I know they covered the matches in Las Cruces in 2007. Don’t know it makes financial sense for them this year though.
