Wahine news & pictures

By Cindy Luis

Thanks to Stanley Ching for his notes and picture link. For those who couldn’t make it to the team’s banquet this year, some videos are up on the booster club website (http://www.orgsites.com/hi/wahinevbbc/_pgg4.php3), hopefully with more to come, as well as photos.  Jennifer Carey,  whose assistant coaching position was in question when head coach Bond Shymansky was let go by Georgia Tech following the season: has landed a position as director of operations with the University of California  Believe Cal is on the schedule for the Wahine this fall (CL)

Just a head’s up. Former Wahine vball player, Raeceen Woolford, won the title of Miss Ko’olina this past Friday at LCC. She was the former Miss Honolulu in 2008.

  2. wen Says:

Raeceen is making another run for the Miss Hawai’i crown? Cool!

  3. Cindy Luis Says:

good for her. I thought she should have won Miss Hawaii last year. Maybe this time?

Thanks for posting the Wahine news and pictures post. That was entertaining.

I truly hope next year, at the QB Club, they honor you as they did Ann Miller. As much as I appreciate the hard work Ann Miller has done through the decades, I see and read more things from you pretty much on a daily basis. I subscribe to the Advertiser and have been for many years now (my neighbor subscribes to Star Bulletin, and at the end of the day, we all exchange papers), and I haven’t seen much articles from Ann Miller in the sports section after the Wahine volleyball season is over. But you have articles to write and this blog going, not to mention allowing all of us to have inputs and questions about both the Wahine and Warrior volleyball related topics. Then you post what you found out. In my opinion, that deserves an award. I am positive, us fans will hear more about the hopeful incoming Wahine transfers from you months before the Advertiser mentions them. Your time and effort is greatly appreciated by this UH volleyball fan. As always, much mahalo!

Please don’t get me wrong, I do believe Ann Miller deserves the award she got, but, I think you also did as well!
