Wahine travel roster for NCAA tournament

Hawaii will take 15 to Los Angeles. The usual 12. Ferrell, Kaufman, Hittle, Danielson, Keefe, Ka’aihue, Houston, Thomas, Brandt, Mafua, Cubi-Otineru. Fowler. And 3 others. Lee, Simmons … and redshirt freshman Brittany Hewitt (for practice purposes, Shoji said). Everybody but the 2 other redshirt freshmen: Maeda and Prather.

That’s a great group. It might have been a good gesture to take all of them…but I understand the travel restrictions. However, they are a TEAM and all brought in revenues to the Stan Sheriff Center that might have paid for just 2 more players.

Team limit is 15 for the NCAA tournament. The two staying home are non-scholarship walk-ons.

I see…too bad they just couldn’t traveled then…but I guess we better play by the rules…lol

Why have I not seen Sarah Prather lately with the team? Watching from TV, she was not warming up with the team before the games and during the breaks, and in the WAC championship post game celebration, she was not in the team photo. Anyone has info?

Gene, posted something a few weeks back on Sarah
She was very, very close to the UH sailor who was killed a few weeks ago. She went back to California to be at the funeral and stayed for a while. She missed the team photo during that time.
She is back … but isn’t on the travel team.
