Very interesting final poll. Penn State makes the final four and they finish ninth?

Ohio State No. 1, UCSB 2, USC 3 and UCI 4
followed by BYU, Long Beach State, Stanford, Hawaii, Penn State, UCLA.
then Pepperdine, Loyola-Chicago, Lewis, UC San Diego, Pacific.

Ball State & CSU Northridge receive votes.

Cindy, heard Dave just got a commitment from 5’8 Punahou setter Taylor Higgins who is a terrific young prospect. I think she will only be a junior next year.

Does this mean UH isn’t getting a setter in the 2012 class?
Interesting I didnt think Dave would go after a local setter until Alohi Robins Hardy.

thanks TW. will see if i can track it down since Shoji can’t discuss verbals. she would be joining teammate Olevao for 2012.

I read something about Taylor Higgins taking an official visit recently to UH on that other SA blog, she’s a 2013 recruit . Her brother Jeremy a QB at Utah State is transferring to UH.I’m still wondering about what is going on for 2012.

      She took an unofficial visit.

didn’t think it would be official this early. read the item on Tsai’s blog. didn’t see anything about a visit, just that UH was in the running for her.

Thanks, that’s what I meant to say.

well if she’s only 2013 then it’s really early for Shoji to say anything.

I’m not the one who mentioned Higgins initially. She is an up and coming prospect, just a sophomore. Santi was a senior and headed to Georgia Tech (i believe)

Maybe I missed it earlier, but were the mens vb recruits announced yet. I haven’t seen them posted on the UH website.
