    From AVCA today.

Hawaii-Hilo: Tino Reyes named the University of Hawai’i at Hilo women’s volleyball coach. He had previously served as interim volleyball coach. (posted 1/31/2011)

Men’s volleyball is a joke. How can Hawaii be ranked in the Top Ten with a pathetic losing record? and we’re to get excited over that!!!! Give me a break!!!!

Crossing my fingers that they will win this weekend! A single-digit ranking would be nice again.

Some shake downs happening in the WVB world…at coaching level (with powerhouses).

As I (as in IMO) see it:

    HC, John Cook
    1st Asst, Dan Meske
    2nd Asst, Kawika Shoji ;-)

    HC, Jerritt Elliott
    1st Asst, Salima Rockwell
    2nd Asst, Erik Sullivan

-Minnesota- *as the writing is all over the wall…at least as far as I can see it.

HC, Brian Hosfeld…how a man can up and quit after ONLY 18yrs. of coaching is VERY suspicious. He’s been a winning HC (Baylor) & successful asst. (@ powers LBSU, TX)
    1st Asst, ???
2nd Asst, Jaimie Lee-Hosfeld…nepotism maybe, but in today’s economy. anyway. She’s been apparently living seperated–out of convenience–as there’ve been coaching ops. in AZ

Which begs the Q. What happens to Hugh M. of the National Team….after 2012/2013 does Dave then forgo a couple of years of his present/extended contract for the better of vb???

    IF UH/Hi. goes large ($)…I say Y.
if not, then, could Sunahara be a suitable replacement for Coach Shoji???

    Fodder for the willing. :-)

Don’t see K. Shoji coaching for a while. not while he can play for USA and internationally.

Here’s where it gets political..sorry, but truth needs to be spoken…here goes:

        - The national unemployment rate continues to stand @ 10%
        - Obama’s admin. (should it continue on/through 2012–I PRAY NOT!–for another term), it’ll perpetuate this most gloomy of state affairs.
        - Strait up, Kawika will in all likelihood not make the London Games.
        - International play could be fun (& pay the bills somewhat for a season)
        - The SMART thing to do is to follow in his father’s footsteps…ASAP!!!
        - Nebraska and MN are hiring as we speak.

*He’s high profile, currently, and would be a PREMIUM ‘get’:(there ‘ ‘ is again, ;-) )–he’d be tremendous for ANY program right NOW.

        …just sayin’ is all. :-)

Sounds like you belong to Volleytalk land of rumors and speculation.

Irrefutably…one speaking from experience; taking one to know one, eh?
